Basics Plus
‘ Basics Plus is a charitable organisation that aims to link businesses, the local community and special needs students. As a Social Enterprise, we provide students with work based skills, businesses with conference and presentation facilities and resources for the local community’.
The school has worked with Basics Plus on three enterprise projects. The children made canvases and craft items in the workshops, art exhibitions were staged in the conference rooms.
Children have also worked with students from Basics Plus on the maintenance of an archaeological site in Wykeham Forest.
Green Light Trust
‘ Green Light Trust exists to encourage people through formal and informal education to become active caretakers of the natural world. Driven by our first-hand experience of the threatened rainforests of Papua New Guinea, we aim to fire communities to conserve and replenish their own natural environments. We especially want to inspire children and young people to feel empowered to make a difference’.
The school has worked with Green Light Trust to grow and plant young trees for the community woodland.
Sure Start
‘ Funded by the Government, Sure Start brings together health workers, childcare and education specialists to provide information, help and support for all parents or main carers of children aged under 4, or to anyone who is expecting a child in the following areas of Scarborough’.

Scarborough Football Club
Many of the children support the football club. Scarborough Football Club currently provides coaching for children in Key Stage 1 and sponsors the school’s “Most Improved Player Award”.
